There is great wisdom
In the practice of the trees:
Deep roots, bending branch.
Beliefs inform acts.
Don’t yield slavishly to them.
They’re but guiding lights.
Move like water through the day,
In a flexible and flowing way.
Twists and turns you can’t foresee
Need not undo serenity.
Like the river moving through,
Respond to what’s surrounding you.
This is not a call to just surrender,
But to meet the rocks with movement tender.
Instead of smashing ev’ry boundary,
Transform it with fluidity.
