Like rain in season,
Like sunlight after winter,
So are those we love.

Two halves of my heart
Are in my arms once again.
I’m beyond grateful.
I never like to say good-bye.
But trips do have to end, and I
Know that though we move apart,
My loves are with me in my heart.
So whether distance, time, or death,
I hold them close with every breath.
For not even eternity
Can break apart one’s family.
Many people, many roads
Converging in this warm abode
Getting here was no sure thing
No telling what the years will bring
So in the present I’ll reside
With these beloveds by my side
Thankful for the rocky start
That led to peace here in my heart
